Neither fault nor praise.
40 Releasing
The Statement of the second hexagram
Gain in the west and south.
No cause to move forward-
then comes return, and fortune.
To have a place to go: dawn fortune.
The Image of the first hexagram
The lake overwhelms
the trees: great excess.
The noble one stands alone
without fear,
and can withdraw
from the world
without sorrow.
The Image of the second hexagram
Thunder and rain act:
releasing.
The noble one
pardons errors
and forgives offenses.
